The Cross

This cross combines Queen Crystallinum with Forgetii × Papillilaminum, bringing together some of the most desirable traits in velvet Anthuriums.

Queen Crystallinum contributes bold venation, elegant heart-shaped leaves, strong growth, and that classic velvet Anthurium look collectors never really get tired of.

Forgetii × Papillilaminum adds the drama. Forgetii can bring a more rounded, closed-sinus leaf shape, while Papillilaminum is known for dark velvet texture, strong contrast, and that moody high-end collector look.

The result is a refined velvet hybrid with the potential for dark leaves, bold veins, strong texture, and a mature shape that can become seriously striking.

Why This Specific Plant Stands Out

This is a layered collector hybrid with real mature potential. It has the elegance from Crystallinum, the unique form influence from Forgetii, and the darker velvet depth from Papillilaminum.

That combination gives the plant a more premium feel than a standard Anthurium hybrid. It is not just pretty now, it has room to become better with every new leaf.

Growth & Mature Potential

With young Anthurium hybrids, the final look can shift as the plant matures. Leaf shape, darkness, venation, and texture may all develop over time.

What makes this plant exciting is the parentage. It has the ingredients for a dark, elegant, high-contrast velvet Anthurium with strong collector appeal.

The plant

Anthurium, chosen for structure, venation, and cultivar accuracy. Every plant is verified against reliable source material before it's listed — because mislabels are rampant in this market, and we don't pass them on.

BEFORE YOU BUY

What you're actually bringing home.

What 'collector-grade' means here

Every plant has passed through our grow space before it gets listed — inspected, pest-checked, and root-verified. We don't flip fresh imports or ship anything we haven't stood behind first. If it's on the site, we've already lived with it.

Variegation expression — what to expect

Presence of variegation is guaranteed. Expression is not.

No two variegated plants grow out identical — even from the same mother. New leaves can come in heavier, lighter, or sometimes revert. That's the nature of the cultivar, not a defect. Every listing shows the actual specimen you'd receive — so you see exactly what you're buying.

Your first two weeks

Unbox gently. Don't panic about a drooping leaf — travel fatigue is normal and usually fixes itself within 48 hours. Place somewhere with bright indirect light and stable humidity. Wait before repotting. Let the plant adjust to your space first — 1–2 weeks is plenty. Water only when the top inch of substrate is dry.

Care at a glance

Light: bright, indirect. No direct afternoon sun.

Humidity: 60%+ is comfortable for most collector aroids. Variegated sections especially appreciate it.

Substrate: chunky, well-draining — bark, perlite, charcoal. Not standard soil.

Watering: when top inch is dry. Err dry, not wet.

Temperature: 20–28°C. Keep away from cold drafts and radiators.

Our promise
  • Rare. Curated genetics. No random imports, no flipping fresh TC as mature plants.
  • Selected. Every specimen passes through our grow space before it gets listed.
  • Limited. Caps are real. When a specimen closes at this price, it's gone.
  • WYSIWYG. Real photos. What ships is what you see — no stock shots, no bait-and-switch.
For collectors who'd rather not be surprised.

More about Anthurium.

Sourcing

Plants come from growers and collectors we know by name from Europa and Asia. If an ID is uncertain, we list it as uncertain — or we don't list it at all.

Shipping & handling

Plant orders ships Monday–Tuesday, tracked, with heat packs when temperatures require. Anthurium travel with extra root protection and moisture where appropriate and always in the pots it's shown in. Winter shipping paused when conditions aren't safe.

Live Arrival Guarantee

DOA covered if reported within 12 hours of delivery with unboxing photos. Transit shock, a yellowing old leaf, or temporary sulk after unpacking are normal — not DOA. Full policy on the shipping page.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Things worth knowing.

Is the photo the actual plant I'll get?

Yes. Unless a listing specifically says otherwise, every photo is the exact specimen shipped. We don't hide behind stock shots or mother-plant references. WYSIWYG is a promise, not a slogan.

Is variegation guaranteed?

Presence is guaranteed. Expression isn't. No two variegated plants grow out identical — even from the same mother. New leaves can come in heavier, lighter, or occasionally revert. That's the nature of the cultivar and part of why collectors want them.

Where do you ship?

Across the EU from Sweden. Every order ships in insulated, temperature-safe packaging with tracking. During extreme cold we hold orders until the forecast opens up — we'll email you if that applies.

How does the Live Arrival Guarantee work?

Photo within 12 hours of delivery if anything arrives compromised. We replace or refund. It's the real kind, not the fine-print kind.

Is free shipping really on every order over €150?

Yes - free standard EU shipping kicks in automatically at checkout once the cart total passes €150. Express and specialty options are still available if you'd rather upgrade.

What's the care like after unboxing?

Bright indirect light, 60%+ humidity, chunky well-draining substrate. Water only when the top inch is dry. Wait 1–2 weeks before repotting — let the plant adjust to your space first. Full care info in the product card and acclimation guide.

Can I combine multiple orders?

Most items, yes. TC pre-orders ship separately because the sealed bags need their own packaging window. Leave an order note or email us if you need something specific.

What if my plant arrives damaged?

Photo within 24 hours. We replace or refund — your call. Live Arrival Guarantee is built into every order.
