Shipping Policy

At Plant.ess, we take great care in packing and shipping every order to ensure it arrives in the best possible condition. Please read the information below to understand how shipping is handled for live plants and physical products.


Shipping Regions

Live plants
Live plants, corms, and tissue culture are shipped within the European Union only.

Pots & accessories
Self-watering pots, trays, and other 3D-printed accessories are available for worldwide shipping.


Order Processing Time

Live plants
Live plants are shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays only to minimize the risk of delays over weekends.

All plant orders are shipped weather permitting. If temperatures or conditions are not suitable for safe transport, shipment may be delayed until conditions improve. This is done to protect the plants and does not qualify for order cancellation or refunds.

Pots & accessories
Orders containing only pots or accessories are typically processed and dispatched within 3 business days, provided the items are in stock.


Shipping Carriers

  • Within Sweden: PostNord

  • Within the EU: UPS Standard or UPS Express, depending on the option selected at checkout

Carrier selection and shipping cost are displayed clearly during checkout.


Shipping Fees

Shipping is charged at a flat rate, calculated at checkout based on destination and selected shipping service.

Any applicable customs fees, duties, or import taxes outside the EU are the responsibility of the customer.


Tracking Information

All shipments include tracking.
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details.

Customers are responsible for monitoring tracking information and ensuring timely receipt or pickup of their delivery.


Cold Weather & Seasonal Shipping Policy

We do not ship live plants if the temperature in Sweden is below -5°C at the time of dispatch.

From October 1st onward, all plant shipments automatically include a complimentary heat pack.
Heat packs reduce risk during cold weather but do not guarantee plant survival during transit.

Plant shipments may be delayed during extreme weather conditions to ensure safe delivery.


Delivery Responsibility

Once an order has been handed over to the shipping carrier, delivery is outside of our direct control.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate shipping information

  • Being available to receive the delivery

  • Promptly collecting parcels from pickup points

We are not responsible for damage or plant decline caused by delayed collection, missed delivery attempts, incorrect address information, or carrier delays.


Damaged or Delayed Shipments

If your shipment arrives damaged or delayed, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery.

For any claim involving live plants, video documentation of the unpacking process is mandatory, including:

  • The plant

  • The packaging

  • The shipping label

Based on the situation, we will assess whether a replacement, partial refund, or store credit is appropriate, in accordance with our Returns & Refunds Policy.

Each case is evaluated individually and handled fairly and professionally.


Local Pickup

We currently do not offer local pickup or in-person delivery options.
