Anthurium Papillilaminum Variegated × (BVEP × RVDP) | White Variegated Clone, 5 Leaves
Every figure here describes the specimen in the photographs as it is today, not the mother plant.
★ Clone · Collector Specimen
A clone taken from a proven variegated mother. You receive the exact plant photographed.
Anthurium Papillilaminum Variegated × (Black Velvet Eastern Panama × RVDP). Five leaves, crystal clear white variegation and a good root system. The most variegated plant in this release.
The cross
The seed side is a variegated papillilaminum, so the variegation is coming from a parent that already carries it rather than appearing by chance. That is the difference between a plant that holds its pattern and one that drifts.
The pollen side pairs Black Velvet Eastern Panama, the dark Panamanian form now described as Anthurium antolakii, with RVDP and its red venation. Dark substance on one side, warm venation on the other, with white variegation laid over the top.
Clone, not a seedling
This plant was taken vegetatively from a proven variegated mother, so it carries her genetics rather than rolling the dice on a new seed grown combination. The variegation is already showing across five leaves, not promised for later. Sectoral patterns shift leaf to leaf, so every new leaf is its own reveal.
This specimen
- Type: Clone from a proven variegated mother, not seed grown
- Leaves: 5
- Variegation: High grade, crystal clear white
- Roots: Good, well developed
- Included: Inner pot
- Notes: Five leaves of established growth, so you can see exactly how the variegation behaves on this plant instead of guessing from one leaf.
One specimen. Photographed as received. Sold once and not repeated.
Care, briefly
- Light: Bright indirect, never direct, which scorches the velvet and the white sections first. Good light keeps the white clean.
- Water: Lightly and evenly moist, never wet, letting the surface just dry between waterings. Keep water off the velvet.
- Warmth: 20 to 25°C and stable. With velvet Anthuriums, steady warmth matters more than chasing humidity. No cold draughts, nothing below 15°C.
- Humidity: 65%+ suits a variegated velvet, but consistent warmth and airflow matter more.
- Mix: Airy, chunky epiphytic mix of bark, perlite and charcoal, fast draining.
- Pace: Five leaves on good roots, so this one is ready to move. Let it settle after shipping before sizing up.
