Alocasia Foundations — Digital Care Guide (Vol. I)
Every figure here describes the specimen in the photographs as it is today, not the mother plant.
The Plant.ess Collector Library · Volume I
A beginner's guide to growing your first Alocasia — written from the bench, not from Google.
Most Alocasia advice gives you rules. None of it explains the plant. This guide works differently: you learn how the plant actually functions — how the corm stores energy, how roots breathe, why leaves get traded, why dormancy isn't death. Understand the mechanics and the care becomes obvious. You stop reacting and start reading the plant.
Inside — 11 chapters, written from our own grow room:
- How an Alocasia works — the corm as a battery
- Roots, and why nearly every dead Alocasia died from the roots up
- Substrate & the Plant.ess Foundation Mix
- The Plant.ess Method — rooting babies in Fluval Stratum, and the move into Pon
- Watering, light, humidity & temperature, feeding
- Dormancy — your Alocasia is not dead
- Troubleshooting & an honest spider-mite protocol
- The First 30 Days
- A one-page Quick Reference Card worth keeping

The photograph is not an illustration of what your plant might become. It is the specification.
