Anthurium Papillilaminum × RVDP | Neon Variegated Clone, 1 Leaf
Every figure here describes the specimen in the photographs as it is today, not the mother plant.
★ Clone · Neon Variegation
You receive the exact plant photographed.
Anthurium Papillilaminum × RVDP. One large leaf carrying neon yellow green variegation on a dark velvet base, on an excellent root system. The colour on this one is the reason it is listed.
The cross
Papillilaminum is the Panamanian dark velvet benchmark: broad blades, heavy substance and pale venation. RVDP, Red Vein Dark Phoenix, brings the warm red venation that line is selected for.
Dark velvet with red veining is already a strong combination. What makes this plant unusual is where the variegation landed: neon yellow and green rather than the usual cream or white. On a near black blade that reads as light coming through the leaf rather than colour sitting on it.
Clone, not a seedling
The variegation is already showing on this plant, not promised for later. Sectoral patterns shift leaf to leaf, so every new leaf is its own reveal.
This specimen
- Type: Clone
- Stage: One leaf, and a large one
- Leaves: 1
- Variegation: Exceptional, neon yellow green
- Roots: Excellent
- Included: Inner pot
- Notes: Variegated velvet leans on its green tissue, so this one is for growers who already keep velvet Anthuriums.
One specimen. Photographed as received. Sold once and not repeated.
Care, briefly
- Light: Bright indirect, never direct, which scorches the velvet and the variegated sections first. Good light is what keeps neon tones from dulling down.
- Water: Lightly and evenly moist, never wet, letting the surface just dry between waterings. Keep water off the velvet.
- Warmth: 20 to 25°C and stable. With velvet Anthuriums, steady warmth matters more than chasing humidity. No cold draughts, nothing below 15°C.
- Humidity: 65%+ suits a variegated velvet, but consistent warmth and airflow matter more.
- Mix: Airy, chunky epiphytic mix of bark, perlite and charcoal, fast draining.
- Pace: One large leaf on excellent roots, which is the best position a single leaf plant can be in. Keep it stable and let it build leaf count. Give it time.
