Anthurium Dressleri × X-Ray | High Variegated Clone, 1 Leaf
Every figure here describes the specimen in the photographs as it is today, not the mother plant.
★ Clone · Collector Specimen
A clone from a proven variegated mother, shown in the last photo. You receive the exact plant photographed.
Anthurium Dressleri × X-Ray. A one leaf clone with high grade variegation and a strong root system. The mother is shown in the last photo so you can see what this plant is built to become.
The cross
Dressleri is the Panamanian dark velvet standard: long, heavy blades in near black with warm venation running through them. It is the parent collectors reach for when they want depth rather than contrast.
X-Ray brings the other half. Crossed together you get dressleri substance with a lighter, more defined vein structure, and variegation on that combination is what makes this one worth holding.
Clone, not a seedling
This plant was taken vegetatively from the mother in the last photo, so it carries her genetics rather than rolling the dice on a new seed grown combination. The variegation is already showing on this plant, not promised for later. Sectoral patterns shift leaf to leaf, so every new leaf is its own reveal.
This specimen
- Type: Clone from a proven variegated mother, not seed grown
- Stage: Baby, one leaf
- Leaves: 1
- Variegation: High grade
- Roots: Very good
- Included: Inner pot
- Notes: The mother is shown in the last photo for reference only and is not for sale. Variegated velvet leans on its green tissue, so this one is for growers who already keep velvet Anthuriums.
One specimen. Photographed as received. Sold once and not repeated.
Care, briefly
- Light: Bright indirect, never direct, which scorches the velvet and the variegated sections first. Good light keeps the colour clean.
- Water: Lightly and evenly moist, never wet, letting the surface just dry between waterings. Keep water off the velvet.
- Warmth: 20 to 25°C and stable. With velvet Anthuriums, steady warmth matters more than chasing humidity. No cold draughts, nothing below 15°C.
- Humidity: 65%+ suits a variegated velvet, but consistent warmth and airflow matter more.
- Mix: Airy, chunky epiphytic mix of bark, perlite and charcoal, fast draining.
- Pace: One leaf on a strong root system, which is the best position a baby can be in. Keep it stable and let it build leaf count. Give it time.
