Anthurium (Clarinervium × Papillilaminum) × (RVDP × Clarinervium) | High Variegated Clone, 1 Leaf
Every figure here describes the specimen in the photographs as it is today, not the mother plant.
★ Clone · Collector Specimen
A clone from a proven variegated mother. You receive the exact plant photographed.
Anthurium (Clarinervium × Papillilaminum) × (RVDP × Clarinervium). One leaf, high grade variegation and a clean heart shaped blade on good roots. Clarinervium sits on both sides of this cross, and the leaf shape shows it.
The cross
Clarinervium is the Mexican one: a thick, rounded heart shaped blade with bold white venation pressed into dark green. It appears on both halves of this cross, which is why the heart shape comes through so clearly this early rather than being diluted.
Papillilaminum brings velvet depth and substance, and RVDP, Red Vein Dark Phoenix, brings warm red venation on dark tissue. The result is clarinervium structure with velvet darkness behind it, instead of the flatter green a straight clarinervium gives you.
Clone, not a seedling
This plant was taken vegetatively from a proven variegated mother, so it carries her genetics rather than rolling the dice on a new seed grown combination. The variegation is already showing on this plant, not promised for later. Sectoral patterns shift leaf to leaf, so every new leaf is its own reveal.
This specimen
- Type: Clone from a proven variegated mother, not seed grown
- Leaves: 1
- Variegation: High grade
- Form: Clean heart shaped blade
- Roots: Good
- Pot: 5cm
- Included: Inner pot
- Notes: Variegated tissue leans on its green, so this one is for growers who already keep Anthuriums.
One specimen. Photographed as received. Sold once and not repeated.
Care, briefly
- Light: Bright indirect, never direct, which scorches the variegated sections first. Good light keeps the venation sharp and the colour clean.
- Water: Lightly and evenly moist, never wet, letting the surface just dry between waterings. Keep water off the leaf.
- Warmth: 20 to 25°C and stable. Steady warmth matters more than chasing humidity. No cold draughts, nothing below 15°C.
- Humidity: 65%+ suits a variegated plant, but consistent warmth and airflow matter more.
- Mix: Airy, chunky epiphytic mix of bark, perlite and charcoal, fast draining.
- Pace: One leaf on good roots in a 5cm pot. Let the roots fill in before sizing up, and let it build leaf count before you judge the pattern. Give it time.
