How to get growing.
Four steps from box to first new leaf. No special equipment, no acclimation chamber.
Unbox & rest.
Let the kit sit somewhere warm and bright for 1–2 days when it arrives. Don't repot yet — your seedling needs to settle in first.
Pot it up.
Fluff the sphagnum, place the seedling in the Mini Sips inner pot, and tuck moss around the roots. Drop the inner pot into the outer pot and thread the wick through the bottom.
Top up the reservoir.
Pour water into the outer pot until it touches the wick. The plant draws what it needs — no daily watering, no guessing.
Watch it grow.
Refill every 1–2 weeks. Bright indirect light, room temp. Most seedlings push their first new leaf within the first month.

Do I get to pick the seedling?
We pick a healthy seedling from the current batch. They're all the same cross — (Pap × crystal DF) × Portillae noid — but each is its own little surprise. Size, leaf shape and stripe pattern vary plant to plant.
Will mine show variegation?
Maybe. The cross carries the genes, but expression varies plant to plant. Most lean green; some throw white. We can't predict it and we don't promise it.
I've never grown semi-hydro. Is this for me?
Yes — that's exactly why this kit exists. The Mini Sips setup is the most forgiving entry point: stable moisture, no overwatering, and you can see the water level through the outer pot.
What do I do when it arrives?
Don't repot immediately. Let the plant rest 1–2 weeks in its shipping cup somewhere warm and bright. Then transfer it into the Mini Sips with the sphagnum moss. Water only when the top inch of substrate is dry.
Can I pick the outer pot color?
Yes — choose at checkout: forest green, light pink, yellow, or beige. All four match the kit's neutral palette.
What if it arrives damaged?
