Alocasia are tropical plants with shaped leaves that range from smooth to heavily textured, often with strong, defined veins.

Colors vary from light green to deep, almost black tones, with some types showing variegation. Growth ranges from slow to fast depending on the type, with forms varying from compact to large and upright.

How the pre-order works

Pre-order opens → closes once the batch is committed with the lab → plants ship within the window stated on each listing (typically 4–8 weeks). You're charged at order. No additional fees on arrival.

Acclimation required

Standard TC protocol — sterile substrate, 95%+ humidity, indirect light, slow adaptation over 4–6 weeks. Full deflasking guide sent with every order. Not for beginners. If you haven't deflasked before, start with an acclimated specimen.

Refund policy

Full refund available any time before the order is placed with the lab. Once shipped, standard DOA policy applies — reported within 12 hours of delivery with unboxing photos. No refunds for acclimation losses after delivery.

When will it ship?

Shipping window is stated per listing. Plugs ship direct from us once we've received and inspected the lab batch. No acclimation delay on our side — just QC and packing.

Can I cancel?

Full refund any time before your bag enters packing. Once it's labelled with your name and in the box, no — but that's the only cutoff.

Why is this cheaper than an acclimated plant?

You're buying the step before acclimation. No grow-out labour, no months of care, no resell margin. Acclimators pay this price — then sell the same plug for 3–5x once it has a few leaves.

Is this for beginners?

No. TC in-bag is for collectors who have deflasked before and know how to transition a plug to soil under humidity. If you haven't — start with an acclimated specimen.
