The name is branding rather than origin: Alocasia is an Old World genus. It builds into a bold, architectural plant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"line-height: 1.6;\"\u003eThe 'Gold' is the aurea-variegated form — irregular golden-yellow sectors over the dark glossy blade, different on every leaf.
