The leaf is shield-shaped with softly undulating margins, raised venation and a lightly puckered surface — and the signature curled, tail-like tip the name refers to.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"line-height: 1.6;\"\u003eThe 'Purple' expression carries the colour further: juvenile leaves emerge dark, mature into a pale, matte silver-green on top, while the reverse and petioles hold a deep purple-aubergine.
